EQUIPMENT RESERVE FUND

3.10.010 Fund established.

Whereas, the Governing Body of the City of Gardner, Kansas, deems it advisable and necessary to provide a financing mechanism for new and replacement machinery, vehicles and other equipment, there is hereby established an equipment reserve fund. (Ord. 1622 § 1. Code 1990 § 1-901)

3.10.020 Revenue sources.

Monies shall be credited to such fund from annually budgeted transfers from other funds of the City lawfully utilized for such purposes or from revenue received from use charges of such equipment, and such monies shall not thereafter be subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 79-2925 to 79-2937, inclusive, and amendments thereto. 3.10.030 Authorized uses.

Monies in such fund may be used for the purchase of machinery, vehicles and any other equipment or personal property including, but not limited to, computer hardware and software, which the City is authorized to purchase for municipal purposes. Such purchases shall be approved by the Governing Body or, when applicable, by the City Administrator under the authority of GMC 2.10.100(B). (Ord. 1622 § 3. Code 1990 § 1-903)

3.10.040 Investment of monies.

Monies in such fund may be invested in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 10-131 and amendments thereto with interest thereon credited to such fund. (Ord. 1622 § 4. Code 1990 § 1-904)
