ARTICLE 2. ZONING REGULATIONS

16-201. ZONING REGULATIONS INCORPORATED.

There are hereby incorporated by reference as if set out fully herein, the zoning regulations adopted by the governing body of the City of Nickerson, Kansas, as prepared by the city by Earls & Riggs, Engineers and Planners, Lindsborg, Kansas, and consisting of Ordinance No. 2001-14 and entitled, "Zoning Regulations of the City of Nickerson, Kansas." One copy of the zoning regulations, marked "Official Copy,” shall be filed with the city clerk to be open for inspection and available to the public at all reasonable business hours. (Code 2008)

16-202. OFFICIAL MAP.

(a)    There is hereby incorporated by reference and adopted an Official Zoning Map for the incorporated area of the city delineating the boundaries and classification of the zoning districts located within the corporate limits of the city, which map shall be marked “Official Copy as Incorporated by the Code of the City of Nickerson, Kansas,” and shall be filed with the city clerk to be open for inspection and available to the public at all reasonable business hours.

(b)    There is hereby incorporated by reference and adopted an Official Zoning Map for the extraterritorial zoning area of the city delineating the boundaries and classification of the zoning districts located outside the corporate limits of the city, which map shall be marked “Official Copy as Incorporated by the Code of the City of Nickerson, Kansas,” and shall be filed with the city clerk to be open for inspection and available to the public at all reasonable business hours.

16-203. DEFINITIONS.

Regulations pertaining to (RV) Recreational Vehicles.

Recreational Vehicle (RV) shall mean a vehicular, portable dwelling unit designed especially for short term occupancy, such as: travel trailers, campers, converted buses and other similar units whether self-propelled, pulled or hauled and are designed primarily for highway travel without a special permit, and are used exclusively for the purpose of traveling and occupancy by the owner, members of his or her family and guests, on camp trips beyond the city limits.

Occupy, Occupancy or Occupied shall mean the use of any recreational vehicle by any person for living, sleeping, cooking or eating purposes for any period of more than five consecutive days.

16-204. TEMPORARY RECREATIONAL VEHICLE OCCUPANCY.

A temporary permit may be issued for a Recreational Vehicle to be occupied other than within a Mobile Home Park, for a period not to exceed 5 days, upon the payment of a fee of $5.00. There shall not be more than 4 such permits issued for the occupancy of a Recreational Vehicle on the same property in any 12 month period.
