(A) Except for those terms specifically defined in this chapter, the terms defined in the Olathe Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 10.01, apply to this Section.

(B) Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device, no person shall stand or park a commercial motor vehicle with a gross combination weight rating of 11,794 kilograms (26,001 pounds) or more:

(1) On a roadway or its shoulder; or

(2) On an on-ramp to, or off-ramp from, a controlled access highway, or the shoulders of those ramps; or

(3) At any place where official signs prohibit parking.

(C) Any person who violates this Section shall be fined Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Each day during or upon which a violation occurs or continues shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder. For the purposes of this Section, “day” means a calendar day. (Ord. 18-41 § 1, 2018.)
