The Public Building Commission shall be composed of not less than three or more than nine members. Three of the members of the Public Building Commission shall, at the time of their appointment to the commission, be duly elected, qualified and acting members of the Governing Body of Olathe, Kansas, and may serve as long as they continue to be Governing Body members of Olathe, Kansas. All other members of the Public Building Commission shall be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the remainder of the Governing Body and for terms of two years each.
