ARTICLE II. GARAGE SALES

30-19. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Garage sale means the offering for sale of any personal property which involves the outdoor display of the personal property being offered. The term "garage sale" includes the sales also known or styled as porch sales, basement sales, or yard sales; provided, however, that the offering for sale of a single item only, such as an automobile or a boat, shall not constitute a garage sale as defined in this article.

30-20. Regulation.

No garage sale shall be open for more than three days consecutively and no property shall hold more than one sale during any six calendar months.

30-21. Penalty.

Violation of this article shall be a municipal civil infraction, punishable by a fine of not more than $100.00.
