5.16.010 Register required--Entries--False information.

A.    Every keeper of an inn, motel, boardinghouse, lodginghouse, trailer court or park within the limits of the town shall keep and maintain a register in which each guest shall enter his name and address upon the day of his arrival at such inn, motel, boardinghouse, lodginghouse, trailer court or park.

B.    Failure to provide or maintain such a register, or failure to require any guest to enter his name and address therein on the day of the arrival of such guest, or to knowingly enter or permit any such guest to enter a false or fictitious name or address in such register as the name or address of such guest, shall be a violation of this chapter. 5.16.020 Failure to sign register--False entries.

Any person becoming a guest at any inn, motel, boardinghouse, or lodginghouse within the limits of the town who shall fail or refuse to enter his name and address in the register at such inn, motel, boardinghouse, lodginghouse, or trailer court or park on the day of his arrival thereat, or who shall enter a false or fictitious name or address as his own in such register, shall be deemed guilty of a violation of this chapter. 5.16.030 Guest defined.

Any person shall be deemed a "guest" within the meaning of this chapter who shall resort to any inn, motel, boardinghouse, lodginghouse or trailer court or park within the limits of the town for refreshment or lodging for any period of time during the day or night. (Ord. 15 (part), 1967)

5.16.040 Violation--Penalty.

Violation of this chapter is a municipal infraction subject to the provisions of Sections 7-1-4150 through 7-1-4152, MCA. (Ord. 207 §6, 2000: Ord. 15 (part), 1967)
