17.02.020    Enactment—Criteria.

17.02.010 Purposes.

The purposes of this title and the land use plan are:

A. To promote the public health, safety, morals, convenience and general welfare;

B. To lessen traffic congestion in the streets;

C. To provide light and air for all buildings;

D. To avoid undesirable concentration of populations;

E. To prevent overcrowding of land; and

F. To facilitate adequate provisions for transportation, water, sewage, schools, parks and other public requirements. (Ord. l-5-87A § 1(A))

17.02.020 Enactment—Criteria.

It is declared that in the enactment of this title and the adoption of the land use plan, the county commission has given due and careful consideration to the suitability of each district for the provisions applied thereto, the location and extent of each district and to the comprehensive grouping and arrangement of the various uses and densities of population in accordance with a well-considered plan for the county.
