15.05.010 Conformity to state building code standards.

Building and related activities shall comply with the State Structural Specialty Codes, including the Building, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical Codes, adopted by the Director of the Oregon Department of Commerce and the Fire and Life Safety Code Standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, as these codes apply at the time of the building or related activity. 15.05.020 Local administration of building code.

The city shall provide for specialty code administration, including plan checking with fire and life safety plan review, permit issuing and inspection for structural, electrical and plumbing work. (Ord. 11-2010 § 1 (Att. A); Ord. 5-2005 § 1; Ord. 2-2004 § 1; Ord. 4-1989 § 2)

15.05.030 Adoption of state codes.

A. The city adopts and enforces the 2010 Oregon Structural Specialty Code, the 2010 Oregon Manufacturing Dwelling Installation Specialty Code, the 2010 Oregon Solar Installation Specialty Code, the 2010 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code, the 2008 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code, the 2008 Oregon Electrical Specialty Code, the 2008 Oregon Residential Specialty Code, the 2010 Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code and the 2002 Manufactured Dwelling and Parks Specialty Code, per ORS Chapter 455 and the rules adopted thereunder.

B. The city adopts and enforces the Oregon Fire Code adopted and amended by Gresham fire and emergency services.

C. The city adopts and enforces Appendix J (Grading) of the Oregon Structural Specialty Code. (Ord. 11-2010 § 1 (Att. A); Ord. 5-2005 § 1; Ord. 2-2004 § 1; Ord. 4-1989 § 3)

15.05.040 Violations and penalties.

No person, firm or corporation shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure in the city, or cause the same to be done, contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter. The violation of this chapter shall be a civil infraction punishable by a fine not exceeding $200.00 per infraction. A separate offense shall be deemed committed for each separate day that an act prohibited by this chapter is continued or permitted to continue. (Ord. 11-2010 § 1 (Att.
