2.16.010 Method of selection and qualifications.

A.    The Crooked River Ranch special road district shall consist of three commissioners elected by the electors of the district.

B.    Except as provided specifically for herein, ORS Chapter 255 shall govern the nomination and election of the commissioners of the Crooked River Ranch special road district and the conduct of all elections in the district.

C.    Each commissioner shall be an elector of the district.

D.    Before entering upon the duties of office, a commissioner shall take and subscribe an oath to support the Constitution and laws of the state of Oregon and of the United States, and to well and faithfully perform the duties of office to the best of the commissioner’s knowledge and ability. 2.16.020 Designation of positions and term of office.

A.    The three positions on the district commission for the Crooked River Ranch special road district shall be designated position one, position two and position three.

B.    With the exception of the first elected commission and the following term of position one as elected at the March, 2001 special election, the term of office of a district commissioner shall be four years. (Ord. O-92-2000 § 2, 2000)

2.16.030 Election of first elected commission.

A.    The initial elected board for the Crooked River Ranch special road district shall be elected at the November, 2000 general election.

B.    District commissioners, in each of the three positions who are elected to the first elected district board shall take office on January 1, 2001 and shall continue to serve until their initial terms expire on June 30, 2001. (Ord. O-92-2000 § 3, 2000)

2.16.040 Subsequent elections.

A.    All subsequent elections shall be held during the March special election immediately preceding the expiration of the term of any of the three positions on the district commission.

B.    At the March, 2001 special election, the term of office for position one shall be two years. The term of office for all subsequent terms for position one shall be four years. (Ord. O-92-2000 § 4, 2000)

2.16.050 Vacancies.

Vacancies on the district board shall be filled by the district board by appointment for the unexpired term. (Ord. O-92-2000 § 5, 2000)
