2.70.010 Established.

There is hereby established and maintained a Law Library fund in which shall be kept, and from which shall be paid, the Law Library fees contemplated by law to use, acquire, purchase, maintain and/or operate a Law Library at Grants Pass, Josephine County, Oregon. [Res. 1-27-39.]

2.70.020 Policy.

A. Those persons duly licensed to practice law (by the Oregon Supreme Court) in the State of Oregon are authorized to use the Josephine County Law Library at any time. However, for access during days and hours outside those listed in subsection (B) of this section, an attorney not personally known as such to the person controlling access to the Law Library will be required to show (1) an Oregon State Bar identification of the attorney, and (2) driver’s license with a picture of the licensee-attorney.

B. Other persons, including litigants, may use the Josephine County Law Library at reasonable times, meaning between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, excluding holidays, and at other times, as posted, when the Law Library staff is on duty.

C. All persons, whether attorneys or not, are responsible for any misuse, damage, loss, or conversion of materials from the Josephine County Law Library.

D. The County Legal Counsel shall be responsible for the administrative management and supervision of the County Law Library, effective July 1, 2005. [Order 2005-054; Order 2003-045; Order 90-24.]
