12.05.010 System established.

Numbers for houses or buildings in Junction City shall be determined as follows: North and south, such numbering shall be from 1st Street and shall be known as north and south numbers. East and west, such numbering shall be from the Southern Pacific Railway main line and shall be known as east and west numbers. North and south, numbers on the east side of the street shall be even numbers and on the west side of the street odd numbers. East and west, numbers on the north side of the street shall be even numbers and on the south side of the street odd numbers. Blocks north and south of 1st Street shall be: first from one to 100, second from 100 to 200, and so on numerically to the city limits. Blocks east and west of the Southern Pacific Railway main line shall be: first from one to 100, second from 100 to 200, and so on numerically to the city limits. One number shall be computed for each five feet of distance, or as nearly so as can be calculated so as to take up the entire set of numbers assigned to each block. House numbers shall be placed preferably over the front door, but in any instance in plain view from the front of the house or building, and shall be of such standard type and size as shall be prescribed by the council. 12.05.020 Property owner responsible.

Every resident and property owner of Junction City shall procure at his or her own expense and properly place the correct numbers on his or her house. [Ord. 828 § 1, 1982; Ord. 198 § 2, 1935.]
