OUTDOOR STORAGE

12.24.010 Restrictions.

For any business in the city whose operations include outdoor storage the outdoor storage areas shall:

A.    Be on the premises of the business or in close proximity to the premises;

B.    Be obstructed from view by opaque fencing, screening or landscaping. Ordinarily, the height of stored materials may not exceed six feet in height;

C.    Have all stored goods, merchandise, vehicles or implements secured against theft, vandalism or loss;

D.    Be paved with asphalt surfacing, crushed rock, or other dust-free materials if the storage area is open to vehicles;

E.    Store corrosive, flammable, explosive, waste or hazardous materials only in compliance with the current edition of the state of Oregon Fire Code. Any storage of toxic or hazardous materials must also comply with all federal, state, and local environmental and public safety requirements;

F.    Not be placed in front yard areas, nor infringe upon any required buffering or screening area.

12.24.020 Violation--Penalty.

Any person, firm or corporation who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of committing an infraction. The penalty for committing an infraction shall be a fine, not to exceed five hundred dollars. Refer to Chapter 1.20, General Penalty of this Municipal Code.
