10.15.010 Purpose.

Municipal parking lots and public parking areas on city streets are for the exclusive use of the public. This chapter establishes regulations for the use of municipal parking lots and public streets.

A. The area designated as truck parking in the truck parking area on Classick Drive bypass shall be limited to five consecutive days of parking (120 hours).

B. Parking time on city streets shall be established by the city council.

C. Parking time in municipal parking lots shall be established by the city council. [Ord. 01-309-O § 1; Ord. 86-140-O § 1; Ord. 84-415-O § 1].

10.15.020 Definition.

“Municipal parking lots” are all city-controlled designated public parking lots in the city. [Ord. 84-415-O § 2].

10.15.030 Time limit – Penalties.

Vehicular parking in municipal parking lots shall not exceed 24 hours unless otherwise designated by the city council. Violation of this provision shall result in the offending vehicle being towed and impounded at the owner’s expense and upon conviction a fine of not less than $50.00 nor more than $1,000 shall be levied. 10.15.040 Sales on parking lots – Penalty.

Sale of merchandise or vehicles on municipal parking lots and city streets is prohibited. Violation of this provision shall be subject, upon conviction, to a fine of not less than $50.00 nor more than $1,000. [Ord. 07-346-O § 2; Ord. 86-140-O § 2; Ord. 84-415-O § 4].

10.15.050 Warning signs.

The public works director shall, under the direction of the city administrator, post suitable warning signs on municipal parking lots. [Ord. 01-309-O § 2; Ord. 84-415-O § 5].
