POOL, BILLIARD, AND CARD TABLES

5.20.010 Pool and billiard tables – License fee.

For the issuance of a license for the ownership, operation, maintenance and/or control of any pool table or billiard table, operated for profit, the license fee shall be $10.00 per year for the first such table and $5.00 each per year for all other tables, payable in advance. 5.20.020 Card tables – License fee.

For the issuance of a license for the ownership, operation, maintenance and/or control of any card table or place where cards are played, the license fee for each card table operated for profit shall be $9.00 per month, payable in advance. [Ord. 13 § 2, 1946. Code 2002 § 5.12.020].

5.20.030 Payment of license fees required.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, co-partnership or corporation to operate, maintain or control any pool table and/or billiard table for profit, or to operate, maintain and/or control any card table operated for profit, where the same may be used by the public without having paid the license fee as herein required. 5.20.040 Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating any provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $100.00. [Ord. 13 § 4, 1946. Code 2002 § 5.12.040].
