PERSONNEL

2.05.010 Title.
The title of this chapter shall be "the personnel ordinance of the city of Veneta." (Ord. 283 § 1, 1988)
2.05.020 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to provide systematic and equitable procedures and regulations relating to the hiring, compensation, hours of work, leave, safety, training, work conditions, promotions, transfers, discipline, removal, and other matters affecting the status of employees of the city of Veneta. (Ord. 283 § 2, 1988)
2.05.030 Variances.
The city council shall have the power to vary or modify the strict application of the provisions of this chapter in any case in which the strict application would result in practical difficulties or unnecessary hardships. (Ord. 283 § 3, 1988)
2.05.040 Resolutions.
The city council shall adopt a personnel system for the city by resolution. The resolution shall be reviewed at least once each year. The resolution may be modified and changed as deemed necessary by the council as it would modify or change other resolutions. (Ord. 283 § 4, 1988)
