SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION
AND REPAIR

905.01 Permit required from city engineer.

No person, firm, partnership, corporation or other entity shall construct, pave, curb, repave or recurb any sidewalk fronting on any of the public streets, ways or avenues of the city without first obtaining a repair and improvement permit from the city engineer’s office. (Ord. 2747 § 1, 1970)

905.02 Compliance with plans and specifications of city engineer.

The construction, paving, curbing, repaving or recurbing of sidewalks shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications and requirements established by the city engineer and approved by resolution of council, and which shall be on file in the city engineer’s office and designated as sidewalk plans and specifications. 905.03 Permit fee by council resolution.

The fee for a repair and improvement permit shall be established by resolution of council, and attached to the sidewalk plans and specifications. (Ord. 2747 § 3, 1970)

905.99 Penalty.

Whoever violates any provision of this article shall be fined not more than $300.00 together with costs of prosecution, and in default thereof shall be imprisoned for not more than 90 days. (Ord. 2747 § 4, 1970)
