PARK STRIPS AND RIGHT OF WAY FRONTAGE MAINTENANCE

7-4-2:    ENFORCEMENT

7-4-1 MAINTENANCE REQUIRED:

A.    Park Strips:

1. In all residential areas of the city where there exists a sidewalk which has been set back and is separate from a roadside curb and gutter, the immediately adjoining private property owner shall maintain the real property located between the roadside curb and gutter and the sidewalk in a neat and orderly manner, equal to the manner in which the owner customarily maintains his adjoining real property, which customary manner shall not be less than the minimum standard otherwise permitted or required by law.

2. Such property shall be kept free of weeds, debris and trash, and will specifically be subject to enforcement of weed and refuse abatement as set forth in title 4, chapter 3 of this code. (Ord. 1-2003, 3-19-2003)

B.    Right Of Way Frontage: In all residential areas of the city where there is right of way frontage between a curb and gutter or curb, gutter and sidewalk and the property line of a private property owner, the immediately adjoining property owner shall maintain the real property located between the owner's property line and the edge of the curb and gutter or curb, gutter and sidewalk in such a manner that the property shall be kept free of weeds, debris and trash. 7-4-2 ENFORCEMENT:

The remedies for violating this chapter shall be the same as set forth for weed and refuse abatement violations as provided in title 4, chapter 3 of this code. (Ord. 1-2003, 3-19-2003)
