2.20.110 Compensation and salaries.

A. Compensation. The monthly compensation of the elected officers shall be as follows:

Mayor

$250.00 – Monthly

Council members

$75.00 – Monthly

B. Payment. The treasurer shall pay each elected officer on the last regular business day of each quarter by delivery of a check drawn on the municipal checking account to the elected officer personally or by mailing the check to the elected officer at his or her home.

C. Per Diem. Each member of the governing body shall receive mileage and per diem for all trips approved by the governing body according to the schedules adopted by the Utah Department of Finance. [Ord. 2018-19-B §§ 2 – 4.]

2.20.120 Amount of bond.

A. Before taking the oath of office and entering on the duties of their respective office, the following named town officials shall each give a bond with good and sufficient securities, payable to the town conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of their office and the payment of all moneys received by such officers according to law and the ordinances of this town in the following amounts:

1. Mayor: $500.00;

2. Councilmember: $200.00;

3. Treasurer: $1,000;

4. Clerk: $500.00;

5. Marshal: $1,000;

6. Poundkeeper: $500.00;

7. Justice of peace: $500.00;

8. Sexton: $200.00;

9. Water superintendent: $1,000.

B. The treasurer’s bond shall be superseded by any rules, regulation or directive of the state Money Management Council when such rule, regulation or directive is binding on this municipality.

C. The premium charged by any corporate surety for any bond required in this section shall be paid by this town.

D. The bond required in this section may be a blanket bond. [Code 1986 § 3-819.]
