8.28.010 Requirement for dumpsters.
All construction sites within Mayfield Town must provide dumpsters or waste containers that are leak-proof, nonabsorbent, and equipped with tight-fitting lids, as specified by Utah Administrative Code Section R392-800-7. These containers must be emptied regularly to prevent overflow, insect breeding, rodent harborage, and other nuisances. [Ord. 2025-4.]
8.28.020 Requirement for portable restroom facilities.
All construction sites must provide portable restroom facilities as outlined in Utah Administrative Code Section R392-501-12, with at least one portable toilet and handwashing station per 20 workers within one-quarter mile of the work area. Additionally, at least five percent of provided portable restrooms must be accessible for individuals with disabilities, consistent with Appendix E of the 2021 Utah State Building Code. All facilities must be regularly serviced, sanitized, and maintained to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. [Ord. 2025-4.]
8.28.030 Maintenance requirements.
Dumpster and restroom facilities must be maintained regularly and serviced at intervals sufficient to maintain cleanliness, prevent odors, and avoid creating a public health nuisance. [Ord. 2025-4.]
8.28.040 Enforcement.
Mayfield Town officials or their authorized representatives shall inspect construction sites regularly to ensure compliance with this chapter. Noncompliance may result in stop-work orders and applicable penalties as outlined in Mayfield Town’s municipal code. [Ord. 2025-4.]
