BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

2.16.010 Established.

The Adams County board of adjustment shall consist of five members appointed by the board of county commissioners in compliance with the nominating procedures specified by RCW 36.70.220 and 36.70.080. (Ord. O-10-91 § 1)

2.16.020 Members—Terms.

Initial terms for members of the board of adjustment shall be as follows: One shall be appointed for one year, one shall be appointed for two years, one shall be appointed for three years, one shall be appointed for four years, and one shall be appointed for six years. Thereafter, the terms shall be for six years and until their successors are appointed and qualified. (Ord. O-10-91 § 2)

2.16.030 Powers—Duties.

The board of adjustment shall have all of the powers and perform all of the duties specified by RCW Chapter 36.70, together with any other duties or authority conferred on the board of adjustment by state law or county ordinance. (Ord. O-10-91 § 3)

2.16.040 Quorum.

A majority of the members of the board of adjustment shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of all business. (Ord. O-10-91 § 4)
