8.28.010 Intercounty district No. 51 established.

The boards of county commissioners of Grant and Adams counties do jointly resolve that the weed district as petitioned shall be and is declared to be created and that the name of this district shall be “intercounty weed district No. 51” and that the boundaries of the district shall be as follows:

Beginning at the NE corner of Section 36 TWP 19 R 30; thence southerly along the Grant-Adams county line to the point of intersection with U.S. Highway 10; thence westerly along the south boundary of U.S. Highway 10 to the point of intersection with the R/W of the East Low Canal of the Columbia Basin Irrigation District; thence following along the east R/W of said canal in a southeasterly direction to the Grant-Adams county line to section 13, TWP 18, R 30; thence across this line into Adams County continuing in a southerly direction along the east R/W of the East Low Canal to the Adams-Grant county line into Section 13, TWP 17, R 30 in Grant County; thence along the south R/W of the East Low Canal, in a northwesterly direction to the point of intersection with the south boundary of Section 11, TWP 17, R 30; thence westerly along the south boundaries of Sec. 11, 10 and 9, TWP 17, R 30 to the point of intersection with the East Low Canal excluding any lands lying within the corporate limits of the city of Warden, Washington; thence southerly along the east R/W of the East Low Canal to the Grant-Adams county line in Sec. 31, TWP 17, R 30; thence westerly along the Grant-Adams county line to the intersection of the Washington State Highway 11G in Sec. 35, TWP 17, R 29; thence northerly along the west R/W of Washington State Highway 11G to the point of intersection with the south boundary of Sec. 12, TWP 17, R 29; thence westerly along the south boundary of Sections 12, 11, and 10 to the SW corner of Sec. 10; thence northerly along the west boundary of Section 10 and Sec. 3, TWP 17, R 29 to the boundary of Grant County Weed District No. 11; thence northerly along the boundary of Grant County Weed District No. 11 to the East Low Canal in Sec. 31, TWP 19, R 30; thence crossing said canal and easterly along the north R/W of said canal to the point of intersection between the East Low Canal and the north boundary of the SE¼ of Sec. 34, TWP 19, R 30; thence along the north boundary of the SE¼ of Sec. 34 and continuing along the north boundary of the south½ of Sec. 35 to the west boundary of Sec. 36, TWP 19, R 30; thence northerly along the west boundary of Section 36 to the NW corner of Sec. 36 to the point of beginning. The boards of county commissioners of Grant and Adams Counties jointly resolve that the annexation be and is approved. The annexed land is described as follows:

Further, the boundaries of the proposed annexation to the intercounty weed district No. 51 are specifically described as: beginning at the SE corner of unit 217, Irrigation Block 44; thence northeasterly along the western and northern boundaries of Farm Unit 217 to the point of intersection with Section 35, T 17, R 29; thence northerly along the west boundary and northern boundaries of Farm Unit 217 to the point of intersection with Section 35, T 17, R 29; thence northerly along the west boundary of Section 35, 26 and 23, T 17, R 29 to the NW corner of SW 1/4 of Section 23; thence northerly along the western boundary of the NE 1/4 of Section 23 and the western boundary of the SE 1/4 of Section 14, T 17, R 29, to the point of intersection with the southern boundary of Farm Unit 176, Block 44; thence northerly along the western boundary of Unit 176 to the NW corner of Unit 176; thence easterly on the northern boundary of Units 176, 175, and 173 or Block 44 to the point of intersection with Washington State Highway 11G in Section 13, T 17, R 29; thence southerly along the west right-of-way of Washington State Highway 11G to the intersection of the Grant-Adams County line in Section 35, T 17, R 29; thence westerly along Grant Adams County line to the point of beginning. 8.28.040 District No. 1 established.

The board of county commissioners resolve that the formation of district No. 1 is approved. The land included in district No. 1 is specifically described as follows:

All of the lands within the exterior boundaries of Irrigation Blocks 45, 46, 47 and 49 and that portion of Irrigation Block 44, excluding Farm Units 226 and 227 thereof, excluding wherefrom the lands within the corporate limits of the city of Othello, lying in Adams County, Washington.

The boundaries of the said district are described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the Adams-Grant County line and the east boundary of the East Low Canal, thence southerly along said canal to the east boundary of its terminus in Section 30, T 15N, R 31 EWM, thence along the east boundary of the Scooteney Wasteway to an intersection with the east boundary of the Connell-Northern branch of the Northern Pacific Railroad, thence southerly along said east boundary of said railroad to an intersection with the Adams-Franklin line, thence west along said county line to an intersection with the southwesterly boundary of Irrigation Block 49, thence along the southwesterly, west and northerly boundaries of said block 49 to an intersection with the Potholes East Canal, thence northerly along the west boundary of said canal to an intersection with the Adams-Grant County line, thence east along said county line to the point of beginning, excluding therefrom the lands within the corporate limits of the city of Othello.
