OFFENSES RELATING TO PROPERTY

9.08.010 Public highways.

A.    No person shall place any signs, indicators, advertisements, stakes, posts or any other foreign object or objects upon a public highway or right-of-way of any public highway in this county without the express permission, in writing, of the board of county commissioners and any such foreign objects now upon the highways or public highway rights-of-way as designated are declared illegal.

B.    No person shall mutilate, destroy, move, change or alter in any manner whatsoever, any sign or signs erected along a public highway, by public authority for the purpose of admonition or direction or otherwise.

C.    Identification of the owner and location of any garbage, debris, waste material or other foreign matter of any nature found upon private or public property adjoining or on any public highway of this county shall be considered as prima facie evidence of its having been illegally deposited upon said public or private property or public highway by the said identified owner of said debris, waste material, etc., as designated in subsections A and B of this section.

D.    Any person company, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject upon conviction to a fine of not more than two hundred fifty dollars or imprisonment for not more than ninety days in the county jail for such violation.
