2.59.010 Sewer Department established.

A Sewer Department of the City is established. The officers and other employees shall consist of a Director and such other personnel as the City Council may from time to time deem necessary for the efficient administration of the Department. (Ord. C-381, 1997)

2.59.020 Director – Personnel appointment.

A. The Public Works Director, who shall be the Director of the Sewer Department, and such other personnel as the City Council may from time to time authorize, shall be appointed by the City Manager and shall hold such appointment during the pleasure of the City Manager.

B. The Public Works Director shall receive no additional pay for serving as Director of the Sewer Department, and such other personnel as may be authorized shall receive such salary as the City Council may determine. (Ord. C-571 § 1, 2004; Ord. C-381, 1997)

2.59.030 Director’s duties.

The duties of the Director shall be to oversee and superintend the operation and maintenance of the sewer system and any new related systems that may be established. The Director shall at all times be subject to the direction and authority of the City Manager. (Ord. C-571 § 2, 2004; Ord. C-381, 1997)
