SALE OF GOODS UPON PUBLIC ROADWAYS

5.12.010 Permission required.

After the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate a stand, concession, place of business, or otherwise engage in the sale of goods, wares, or food products of any kind upon any land, including public rights-of-way, without first having obtained from the person lawfully in possession of the land express permission to go upon the land for that purpose. (Ord. C-050 § 1, 1983)

5.12.020 Permission prerequisite to license.

No person shall be granted a license to carry on business in the City without stating the place at which such business is to be conducted, and that the person lawfully in possession of such place has consented thereto. (Ord. C-050 § 2, 1983)

5.12.030 Not applicable to door-to-door sales.

This chapter shall not apply to door-to-door sales being conducted in compliance with laws applicable thereto. (Ord. C-050 § 3, 1983)

5.12.040 Violation.

Violation of this chapter by any person engaged in selling shall be a misdemeanor and punishable as such. (Ord. C-050 § 4, 1983)
