REGULATION OF CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM CHARGES

5.30.010 Charges—Subject to regulation.

It is established that basic service tier rates and the charges for related equipment, installation and services of any cable television system operating within the city shall be subject to regulation by the city. (Ord. 93-711 § 1, 1993)

5.30.020 City will follow FCC Rate Regulations.

The city will follow the FCC Rate Regulations in its regulation of the basic service rates and charges of the company and any other cable television system operating within the city, notwithstanding any different or inconsistent provisions contained within the franchise. (Ord. 93-711 § 2, 1993)

5.30.030 Public hearing.

In connection with such regulation, the city will ensure a reasonable opportunity for a public hearing to provide for the consideration of the views of all interested parties. (Ord. 93-711 § 3, 1993)

5.30.040 Mayor—Authorized to file certification forms.

The mayor, or his designee, is authorized to execute on behalf of the city and file with the Federal Communications Commission such certification forms or other instruments as are now or may hereafter be required by the FCC Rate Regulations in order to enable the city to regulate basic service rates and charges.
