2.30.010 Established – Members – Duties.

The arterial highway design commission (design commission herein) is established. The design commission is authorized to act for and on behalf of the town to recommend the selection of members of the design team to be employed by the town for the planning and design of any structures or surface development work, to be accomplished by the town with the funds provided from the sale of bonds issued pursuant to Resolution No. 34569, and to take such other measures as are necessary to accomplish the purposes of Ordinance No. 59, and to further review the plans and specifications of such structures or work. The design commission shall be composed of at least seven residents of the town of Beaux Arts Village, Washington, drawn from the architectural and engineering professions and such other persons as the town council may select. The town council shall make recommendations to the design commission as to the nature and scope of the project and shall, in its sole discretion, give final approval of all projects. The town councilman who is chairman of the road committee shall act in an advisory capacity to the design commission. [Ord. 62 § 1, 1969; Ord. 59 § 3, 1968]
