10.05.010 Adoption of statutes by reference.
(1) Except as provided herein, the Washington Model Traffic Ordinance (MTO), Chapter 308-330 WAC, as herein modified and amended, is hereby adopted by reference as the traffic ordinance of the town of Beaux Arts Village as though set forth in full herein and shall be known as the town traffic ordinance.
(2) The following sections of the Washington MTO are not adopted and are hereby excluded from this chapter:
(a) WAC 308-330-210 and 308-330-215 providing for a traffic division.
(b) WAC 308-330-230 through 308-330-245 delegating duties to the traffic division.
(c) WAC 308-330-260 through 308-330-275 establishing the office of traffic engineer and a traffic safety commission.
(d) WAC 308-330-500 through 308-330-540 requiring licensing of bicycles. [Ord. 381 § 2, 2011]
10.05.020 Speed limits.
(1) It shall be unlawful to operate any motor vehicle at a speed in excess of 10 miles per hour within the confines of the town, except as hereinafter provided.
(2) It shall be unlawful to operate any motor vehicle at a speed in excess of 20 miles per hour on any of the following streets:
(a) Upon 104th Avenue SE, between the north boundary of the town and SE 28th Street.
(b) Upon SE 28th Street, between 104th Avenue SE and 105th Avenue SE.
(c) Upon 105th Avenue SE, between SE 28th Street and SE 30th Street.
(3) It shall be unlawful to operate any motor vehicle at a speed in excess of 25 miles per hour on 108th Avenue SE, between the north boundary of the town and SE 30th Street. [Ord. 381 § 1, 2011]
10.05.030 Enforcement.
Any peace officer of the town, including members of the King County sheriff’s office, is hereby empowered to issue a citation to or to arrest any person for a violation of this title. [Ord. 421 § 1, 2016; Ord. 381 § 3, 2011]
