16.02.010 Statutory authority and purpose.

A. The State Growth Management Act (GMA) requires cities to adopt comprehensive plans (RCW 36.70A.040(3)(d)).

B. The purpose of this chapter is to codify the adoption of the city of Blaine comprehensive plan developed under the provisions of the State Growth Management Act. (Ord. 2508 § 3, 2002)

16.02.020 City of Blaine comprehensive plan adopted.

The latest update of the city of Blaine comprehensive plan, passed through Ordinance 06-2628 on May 8, 2006, a copy of which is attached to the ordinance codified in this section and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby adopted as the comprehensive plan for the city of Blaine. 16.02.030 Definitions.

Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the definitions in this chapter apply throughout this title.

“Comprehensive land use plan,” “comprehensive plan,” or “plan” means the generalized and coordinated land use policy statement of the city that is adopted pursuant to this title.

“Director” means the director of the community development services department at the city of Blaine or his or her designee. (Ord. 2728 § 2 (Exh. A), 2009; Ord. 2508 § 3, 2002)
