17.06.010 Permit – Required.

No person, firm or corporation shall remove, alter or construct any curb, sidewalk, driveway approach, gutter, pavement, or other improvement in any public street, alley or other property owned by or dedicated to or used by this city and over which it has jurisdiction to regulate the matters covered by this chapter, without first obtaining a permit from the public works director. (Ord. 1633 § 1, 1996).

17.06.020 Permit – Application.

The applicant shall submit a complete application for the proposed work, as established in the Bothell Standards, for review by the public works department and other departments, as necessary. The application shall include applicant name, legal description, site plan showing existing and proposed improvements, including driveways on both sides of the street along the property line and extending a minimum of 200 feet in both directions. Proposed driveway locations, width and site triangles shall be shown on the plan. (Ord. 1633 § 1, 1996; Ord. 215 § 3, 1955).

17.06.030 Permit – Issuance.

The public works director shall not issue a driveway permit unless it is determined that the proposed improvements conform to this chapter, to other applicable Bothell Municipal Codes, the Bothell Standards and any conditions which may be established during the review process. (Ord. 1633 § 1, 1996).

17.06.040 Approaches – Permit fee.

The permit fee for each driveway approach shall be as established by resolution of the city. (Ord. 1633 § 1, 1996; Ord. 1306 § 22, 1988; Ord. 215 § 7, 1955).

17.06.050 Approaches – Construction details.

A.    All construction shall be in accordance with the Bothell Design and Construction Standards and Specifications (Bothell Standards) as adopted by city council ordinance and incorporated herein by reference, and as may be amended. Chapter 17.10 BMC, Street Cleaning, shall apply to work included in this chapter. (Ord. 1633 § 1, 1996).

17.06.060 Violation – Penalty.

Any person, firm, company or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter, shall be guilty of a civil infraction. Violations shall be processed according to Chapter 11.20 BMC, Enforcement. (Ord. 1633 § 1, 1996).
