OFFENSES AGAINST THE PERSON*

9.08.010 Abusing or insulting teachers.

Any person who insults or abuses a teacher anywhere on the school premises while such teacher is carrying out his official duties, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. (Ord. 383 (part), 1979)

9.08.020 Coercion.

A person is guilty of coercion if by use of a threat he compels or induces a person to engage in conduct which the latter has a legal right to abstain from, or to abstain from conduct which he has a legal right to engage in “Threat” as used in this section means: (a) to communicate, directly or indirectly, the intent immediately to use force against any person who is present at the time; or (b) threats as defined in RCW 9A.04.110(25)(a), (b) or (c). 9.08.030 Reckless endangerment

A person is guilty of reckless endangerment when he recklessly engages in conduct which creates a substantial risk of death or serious physical injury to another person. (Ord. 383 (part), 1979)

9.08.040 Simple assault.

Every person who commits an assault or an assault and battery not amounting to assault in either the first, second or third degree, as defined by the statutes of the state of Washington, shall be guilty of simple assault. (Ord. 383 (part), 1979)
