R-1 SINGLE-FAMILY LOW DENSITY DISTRICT

17.16.010 Purpose.

The purpose of the single-family low density district is to provide for low density residential use in those areas where existing lots are platted measuring at least ten thousand square feet, and in unplatted areas designated by the comprehensive plan for single-family residential use. Maximum density shall be four dwelling units per acre. (Ord. 663 § 1 (Exh. A) (part), 2016: Ord. 475 § 1 (part), 1996)

17.16.020 Allowed uses.

Uses allowed in this district shall be as shown in the district use chart, Chapter 17.52. (Ord. 663 § 1 (Exh. A) (part), 2016: Ord. 475 § 1 (part), 1996)

17.16.030 Signs.

A.    In this district, the following signs shall be permitted:

1.    One name plate for each dwelling unit identifying the occupants, not more than three square feet in area;

2.    One temporary sign advertising the sale, lease or rental of the property on which it is located, of not more than six square feet in area;

3.    Signs expressing personal or political opinions for an upcoming election, or endorsing a political candidate; however, they shall not exceed three square feet in area and must be removed within one week of the close of the elections for which they are intended.
