2.04.010 Regular meetings held when, where.

A. The regular meetings of the Burlington city council shall be held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, except when such meeting day falls on a holiday, in which case the meeting will be held on the Tuesday immediately preceding.

B. Regular meetings of the Burlington city council shall begin at 7:00 p.m. and shall be held in the council chambers in the Burlington City Hall, at 833 South Spruce Street, Burlington, or at such other location as shall be designated by the finance director and published in the meeting agenda.

C. At all meetings of the Burlington city council, a majority of the council shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business, but a lesser number may adjourn the meeting, in accordance with RCW 35A.12.120. (Ord. 1737 § 1, 2011; Ord. 932 § 1, 1979).

Repealed by Ord. 1737. (Ord. 932 § 3, 1979).

2.04.030 Parliamentary procedure.

Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised, is adopted by the city council as the rules to control all questions of parliamentary procedure not otherwise provided for by the statutes of the state or ordinances of the city. (Ord. 1737 § 3, 2011; Ord. 932 § 2, 1979).
