15.20.010 Definitions.

As used in this chapter, the following definitions shall apply:

A.    “Beneficiaries” means all new recipients of sewer service in the area of Long Road south of but not including parcel No. 21500-2, and south of, and including parcel No. 21564.

B.    “Long Road sewerage improvement—1987” means that construction designated by sewer service contract, dated March 18, 1986, with developer Miller, number 943716, recorded Volume 327, page 727, in the records of the Lewis County auditor, and amended December 31, 1986, and recorded as 953265, Volume 348, page 678.

C.    “New recipients” means those persons, firms or corporations receiving sanitary sewer service after the date of enactment of the ordinance codified in this chapter and pursuant to the terms hereof.

D.    “Service connection” is defined as that part of the side sewer that is located on publicly owned rights-of-way.

E.    “Side sewer” is defined as set forth in the current ordinances of the city of Centralia. (Ord. 1613 § 1, 1987).

15.20.020 Schedule of charges.

The following charges, applicable to new recipients of sewer service under this chapter, are in addition to all other charges in effect under other ordinances for sewer services provided by the city of Centralia:

Special Benefit

 

Single-family dwelling

The lump sum per service connection stated in Schedule A.

Multiple-dwelling units

The lump sum per service connection stated in Schedule A plus $100 for each additional dwelling unit.

Commercial and industrial

The lump sum per service connection stated in Schedule A.

Charges for trailer parks shall be computed on the basis of multiple dwelling units provided the side sewer(s) on private property collect the sanitary waste to a common point at the property line.

15.20.030 Service agreement.

In order to secure sewer service under the terms of this chapter, the potential customer must agree to abide by the terms of this chapter and other ordinances of the city of Centralia governing the charges and regulations for use of Centralia’s sanitary sewer system, as same now exist or are hereafter amended; provided, however, this provision shall not apply to sewer service for real property located within the city of Centralia.
