TRIBAL EMPLOYEES

6.45.010 Background character investigations.

A. The Social Services Director shall compile a list of all Chehalis Tribal employees who have regular contact with children in the course of their employment.

B. The Social Services Director shall prescribe minimum standards of character for such Tribal employees or prospective employees.

C. Background character investigations of such employees or prospective employees shall be conducted by law enforcement or other appropriate agency.

D. Tribal employees or prospective employees shall be given notice that a background character investigation will be initiated and that the minimum standards of character prescribed by the Social Services Director must be met by the employee or prospective employee or his or her employment may be terminated by the Tribe.
