10.48.010 Riding animals or bicycles fast unlawful.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to ride or drive a horse or horses, or other animal or animals, or ride a bicycle in any of the streets or public highways of the city in so rapid a manner as to endanger the lives or limbs of pedestrians or other persons. (Ord. 29 § 1, 1904).

10.48.020 Riding animals or bicycles over bridge.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to ride or drive a horse or horses, or other animal or animals, upon or across any bridge over the Chelan River in the city faster than a walk, or to ride a bicycle at a greater speed than six miles an hour upon or across any of the bridges. (Ord. 29 § 2, 1904).

10.48.030 State Route 97A.

The speed limit on State Route 97A shall be as follows:

A. From mile post 231.99 to the intersection of Main Street, thirty-five miles per hour.

B. From the intersection of Main Street to 97A mile post 235.16, thirty miles per hour.

C. From 97A mile post 235.16 to mile post 235.83, thirty-five miles per hour.

10.48.040 State Route 150.

The speed limit on State Route 150 within the city is established as follows:

A. From the west corporate limits easterly to a point one thousand two hundred sixty-seven feet east of El Dorado Drive, forty miles per hour;

B. From a point one thousand two hundred sixty-seven feet east of El Dorado Drive to a point one thousand fifty-six feet west of No-See-Um Road, forty-five miles per hour;

C. From a point one thousand fifty-six feet west of No-See-Um Road to one thousand two hundred fourteen feet west of the intersection of Highland Avenue, thirty-five miles per hour;

D. From one thousand two hundred fourteen feet west of the intersection with Highland Avenue easterly to the intersection with Saunders and Woodin (State Route 97), twenty-five miles per hour. (Ord. 1438 § 2, 2012: Ord. 1418 § 1, 2011: Ord. 1219 § 1, 2001; Ord. 634 § 3, 1979: Ord. 381 § 2, 1967).

10.48.050 State Routes 97 and 150 – Violation.

Repealed by Ord. 917. (Ord. 381 § 4, 1967).

10.48.060 Woodin Avenue.

The speed limit on Woodin Avenue is established as follows:

A. From the intersection with State Route 97 easterly to a point mid-block between Third Street and Lake Street thirty miles per hour;

B. From the mid-block between Third Street and Lake Street easterly to the intersection with Saunders Street and State Route 97, twenty miles per hour. (Ord. 1020 § 1, 1995; Ord. 634 § 2, 1979).

10.48.070 Boyd Road.

The speed limit on Boyd Road from the intersection of State Route 150 and Boyd Road to the corporate limits of the city shall be thirty-five miles per hour. (Ord. 1077 § 1, 1997: Ord. 921 § 1, 1991).

10.48.080 Airport Way.

The speed limit on Airport Way shall be fifteen miles per hour. (Ord. 1105 § 1, 1998).
