HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN

13.06.010 Multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan.

The board of Chelan County commissioners:

(1) Adopts, in its entirety, Volume 1 and the introduction, the Chelan County jurisdictional annex, and the appendices of Volume 2 of the 2024 Chelan County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (CCHMP). If revisions to the plan are required after adoption in order to meet plan approval requirements, those revisions will not require Chelan County to readopt the plan.

(2) Will use the adopted and approved portions of the CCHMP to guide pre- and post-disaster mitigation of the hazards identified.

(3) Will coordinate the strategies identified in the CCHMP with other planning programs and mechanisms under its jurisdictional authority.

(4) Will continue its support of the steering committee and continue to participate in the planning partnership as described by the CCHMP.

(5) Will help to promote and support the mitigation successes of all CCHMP planning partners. (Res. 2024-107, 12/2/24; Res. 2019-121, 11/18/19).

13.06.020 Adoption by flood control zone district.

The flood control zone district:

(1) Adopts, in its entirety, Volume I and the introduction, the flood control zone district jurisdictional annex, and the appendices of Volume II of the Chelan County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (CCHMP).

(2) Will use the adopted and approved portions of the CCHMP to guide pre- and post-disaster mitigation of the hazards identified.

(3) Will coordinate the strategies identified in the CCHMP with other planning programs and mechanisms under its jurisdictional authority.

(4) Will continue its support of the steering committee and continue to participate in the planning partnership as described by the CCHMP.

(5) Will help to promote and support the mitigation successes of all CCHMP planning partners. (Res. 2025-23, 2/25/25).
