13.10.010 Creation and purpose.

Pursuant to Chapter 86.15 RCW, for the purpose set forth therein, the board of commissioners for Chelan County creates a flood control zone district to be known as the “Chelan County flood control zone district.” (Res. 2014-59 (part), 6/24/14).

13.10.020 Boundaries.

The Chelan County flood control zone district shall include the entire area of Chelan County, including all watersheds therein, within boundaries as described in RCW 36.04.040. (Res. 2014-59 (part), 6/24/14).

13.10.030 Board of supervisors.

The board of county commissioners for Chelan County shall be, ex officio, the supervisors of the Chelan County flood control zone district. (Res. 2014-59 (part), 6/24/14).

13.10.040 Administration.

Administration of affairs of the Chelan County flood control zone district shall be the county engineer. (Res. 2014-59 (part), 6/24/14).

13.10.050 Hazard mitigation plan.

(1) The flood control zone district shall adopt, in its entirety, Volume I and the introduction, the flood control zone district jurisdictional annex, and the appendices of Volume II of the Chelan County Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (CCHMP).

(2) The flood control zone district will use the adopted and approved portions of the CCHMP to guide pre- and post-disaster mitigation of the hazards identified.

(3) The flood control zone district will coordinate the strategies identified in the CCHMP with other planning programs and mechanisms under its jurisdictional authority.

(4) The flood control zone district will continue its support of the steering committee and continue to participate in the planning partnership as described by the CCHMP.

(5) The flood control zone district will help to promote and support the mitigation successes of all CCHMP planning partners. (Res. 2019-126, 11/19/19).
