16.14.010 Suspension of permit.

(1)    The administrator may suspend or revoke any permit issued by the department whenever:

(A)    The permit holder has committed a code violation in the course of performing activities subject to that permit;

(B)    The permit holder has failed to comply with the provisions of the permit; or

(C)    The permit was issued in error on the basis of materially incorrect information supplied to the county.

(2)    Such permit suspension or revocation shall be carried out through the notice and order provisions of this title, and shall be effective upon service of the notice and order to the person responsible for code compliance. The permit holder may appeal such suspension as provided for in this title. (Res. 2020-137 Att. A, 12/8/20; Res. 2003-67 (part), 5/20/03).

16.14.020 Denial of permit.

(1)    The department may deny a permit application, when, with regard to the property or project for which the application is submitted:

(A)    The property has been found in violation and remains in violation of any ordinance, regulation or resolution regulated by this title;

(B)    The property has been found in violation and remains in violation of any conditions of any permit, notice and order, or stop work order;

(C)    The person responsible for code compliance has been issued a citation and has failed to pay the penalty or timely file an appeal.

(2)    In order to further the remedial purposes of this title, such denial may continue until the violation is abated and payment of any civil penalty imposed for the violation received, except that permits or approvals shall be granted to the extent necessary to accomplish the required abatement. 16.14.030 After-the-fact permits.

After-the-fact permits issued shall be charged twice the rate/fee as identified in Chapter 3.24. (Res. 2020-137 Att. A, 12/8/20; Res. 2003-67 (part), 5/20/03).
