15.12.106.2 Amendment of Section 106.2.

Section 106.2 of the International Fire Code shall be adopted in modified form as follows:

106.2 Inspections. The fire code official is authorized to conduct such inspections as are deemed necessary to determine the extent of compliance with the provisions of this code and to verify reports of inspection by approved agencies or individuals. Within unincorporated Clark County, fire prevention personnel will inspect all existing businesses every one (1), two (2), or three (3) years to ensure compliance with local fire and building codes. The frequency of inspections within these businesses shall be as outlined in Clark County Code Tables 15.12.105.6(a) and (b).

The fire code official is authorized to charge fees for the inspections conducted within existing structures as outlined in Clark County Code Table 6.120.040(12).

All reports of such inspections shall be prepared and submitted in writing for review and approval. Inspection reports shall be certified by a responsible officer of such approved agency or by the responsible individual. The fire code official is authorized to engage such expert opinion as deemed necessary to report upon unusual, detailed or complex technical issues subject to the approval of the governing body.
