24.16.040 Representative areas for members.

The membership of the commission shall be allocated on the basis of the following:

(1)    One (1) member representing the Vancouver city council;

(2)    One (1) member representing small cities and towns in Clark County;

(3)    One (1) member representing public interest groups in Clark County;

(4)    One (1) member representing the business community in Clark County;

(5)    One (1) member representing the solid waste management industry within Clark County;

(6)    One (1) member representing the citizens of north Clark County;

(7)    One (1) member representing the citizens of southeast Clark County;

(8)    One (1) member representing the citizens of southwest Clark County;

(9)    One (1) member representing the citizens of Clark County at large;

(10)    One (1) member representing agriculture in Clark County.

All members shall reside within Clark County. The member representing the business community shall own or be employed by a business located in Clark County; the member representing the waste management industry shall be employed by a company involved in the waste management industry located in Clark County; the member representing the citizens of north Clark County shall reside north of 179th Street or the extension thereof; the member representing the citizens of southwest Clark County shall reside south of 179th Street and west of State Highway 503 or the extension thereof; and the member representing the citizens of southeast Clark County shall reside south of 179th Street and east of State Highway 503 or the extensions thereof.
