3.20.010 Created.

There is hereby added to the Clarkston Municipal Code a new Chapter 3.20, entitled “Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fund.” The city treasurer is authorized to establish the new Fund No. 002 effective January 1, 2007. [Ord. 1408 § 1, 2006.]

3.20.020 Purpose.

The purpose of the EMS fund shall be to account for all revenues and expenditures related to the providing of EMS services, whether to the citizens of Clarkston or by contract to the citizens of the city of Asotin and Asotin County and any other entity with whom the city contracts to provide EMS service. [Ord. 1408 § 1, 2006.]

3.20.030 Revenue sources.

All proceeds of the city of Clarkston’s annual EMS levy will be receipted to this fund. In addition, all payments from the city of Asotin, Asotin County, Port of Whitman, and any other entity with whom the city contracts for EMS service will be receipted to this fund. [Ord. 1408 § 1, 2006.]

3.20.040 Expenditures.

All expenditures related to the providing of EMS services will be charged to this fund. Expenditures shall be determined at the time of the preparation of the annual city budget or as such budget may be subsequently amended. [Ord. 1408 § 1, 2006.]

3.20.050 Unexpended.

Any unexpended moneys remaining in the EMS fund at the end of a budget year shall not lapse and shall be carried forward from year to year until expended for the purposes set forth in CMC 3.20.040 or as otherwise directed by resolution of the city council. [Ord. 1408 § 1, 2006.]
