10.20.010 Injuring or tampering with fire alarm – False alarms.

No person shall wilfully and without cause tamper with, molest, injure or break any public or private fire alarm apparatus, emergency telephone, radio or other wire or signal, or any other firefighting equipment, or wilfully and without having reasonable grounds for believing a fire exists send, give, transmit or sound any false alarm of fire by shouting in a public place or by means of any public or private fire alarm system or signal, or by telephone. This provision shall not prohibit the testing of fire alarm systems by persons authorized to do so. A violation of this section is a misdemeanor. [Ord. 949, 1983.]

10.20.020 Obstruction of the extinguishment of fire.

It is unlawful for any person:

(1) To cut, injure, destroy or obstruct any engine, hose or other fire apparatus; or

(2) To disobey the lawful orders of a public officer at the scene of a fire; or

(3) To otherwise obstruct the extinguishment of a fire. [Ord. 949, 1983.]

10.20.030 Malicious mischief.

It is unlawful for any person to knowingly and maliciously cause physical damage of a value of $50.00 or less to the property of another. [Ord. 949, 1983.]

10.20.040 Malicious mischief activity.

It is unlawful for any person to loiter in or near any thoroughfare, place open to the public, or near any public or private place in a manner and under circumstances manifesting the purpose to engage in malicious mischief activity contrary to the provisions of CMC 10.20.030. 10.20.050 Unlawful donation site delivery.

It is unlawful for any person to drop off, deliver, dispose of or dump any item at any donation site with the city except at the days and times specified by the organization operating said donation site. Said organization shall post the authorized delivery dates and times on or about the premises. [Ord. 1178 § 1, 1993.]
