10.12.010 Time limits and limitations.

It is unlawful for any person to park any motor or other vehicle continuously for longer periods of time between the following hours on any of the following streets or portions of streets located in the town of Concrete except on Sundays and legal holidays:

(1) Two-hour parking only on the south side of Main Street, between Cupples Alley and North E. Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise posted.

(2) Two-hour parking only on Main Street from North E. Avenue to North Dillard Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise posted.

(3) Twenty-three-hour parking only in municipal parking lot located on Main Street and the parking lot located south of the Fire Hall and east of the Skate Park, unless otherwise posted.

(4) Parallel parking only on the north side of Main Street from North E. Avenue to Cupples Alley, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise posted.

(5) There shall be no parking on the south side of Main Street from North Superior Avenue to Grassmere Road.

(6) Except areas specifically designated by the town or allowed under a long-term parking permit, parking on town property shall be limited to a maximum of 14 days.

(7) Long-term parking permits may be available by request for residential areas and at a cost established by annual resolution and which shall not be in addition to but shall include the allowed hours stated above.

(8) Proper signage for the removal of unauthorized vehicles shall be installed and maintained. For purposes of this section, “unauthorized vehicle” means a vehicle that is subject to impoundment after being left unattended on a town property located for the indicated period of time and is subject to immediate removal. Impoundment shall be in accordance with RCW 46.55.080(1) and 46.55.080(2). Pursuant to RCW 46.55.080(2), any public official or law enforcement officer designated by the mayor shall be considered the designated official authorized to sign an impound authorization. 10.12.020 Future parking limitations.

It is unlawful for any person to park any automobile, bicycle or any other vehicle on any street, portion of any street or public way in the town of Concrete as may hereinafter be designated for limited parking for various periods of time by the town council. Provided, that the town council shall direct the installation of the appropriate signs to indicate the limits placed on parking. [Ord. 280 § 2, 1983]

10.12.030 Closed streets or alleys.

It shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave any automobile, bicycle or any other vehicle on any part or portion of any street, alley, sidewalk or other public place in the town for any period during the time the same may have been blocked off and posted or barricaded against parking by the town, police, street, fire, or other departments of the town for the purpose of aiding in the cleaning and repairing of or in aid of the safety of the public on any such street or public place. 10.12.040 Penalty.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter may be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by fine not to exceed $250.00 or the full amount charged by a towing company if said violation resulted in the towing of any such vehicle found to be in violation of this chapter.
