10.14.010 Time limits.

(1) Parking is limited to a maximum of 72 hours except those transportation providers authorized under CMC 10.14.030 or those otherwise permitted by the town.

(2) Long term parking permits may be available by request and at a cost established by annual resolution and shall not exceed a maximum of 168 hours (seven days) which shall not be in addition to but shall include the allowed hours stated above.

(3) Proper signage for the removal of unauthorized vehicles shall be installed and maintained. For purposes of this section, “unauthorized vehicle” means a vehicle that is subject to impoundment after being left unattended within a park and ride location for the indicated period of time and is subject to immediate removal. Impoundment shall be in accordance with RCW 46.55.080(1) and 46.55.080(2). Pursuant to RCW 46.55.080(2), any public official or law enforcement officer designated by the mayor shall be considered the designated official authorized to sign an impound authorization. 10.14.020 Restrictions.

Following are rules governing restrictions on the use of the park and ride facility:

(1) No parking for:

(a) Motor homes;

(b) Travel trailers;

(c) Oversized vehicles.

(2) No residential parking.

(3) Parking stalls are available on a first come, first served basis.

(4) Parking is allowed only in the designated parking stalls.

(5) No person shall park any vehicle within the park and ride for the principal purpose of:

(a) Displaying advertising;

(b) Displaying such vehicle for sale;

(c) Selling merchandise from such vehicle, except when authorized;

(d) Washing, greasing or repairing such vehicle except repairs necessitated by an emergency. [Ord. 753, 2016]

10.14.030 Transportation providers.

RCW 47.04.290 and 47.04.295 and any amendments made hereto are adopted by reference. [Ord. 753, 2016]

10.14.040 Electric vehicle charging stations.

Proper signage shall be installed and maintained as prescribed by RCW 46.08.185(1) as it is now written or amended.

For purposes of this section, “electric vehicle charging station” means a public or private parking space that is served by charging equipment that has as its primary purpose the transfer of electric energy to a battery or other energy storage device in an electric vehicle.

(1) It is a parking infraction, with a monetary penalty as established by annual resolution, for any person to park a vehicle in an electric vehicle charging station provided on public or private property if the vehicle is not connected to the charging equipment. The parking infraction will be processed as prescribed under RCW 3.50.100, 35.20.220, 46.16A.120 or 46.20.270(3). [Ord. 753, 2016]
