2.76.010 Created.

The city creates a municipal court of limited jurisdiction entitled, “The Municipal Court of the City of Connell,” hereinafter designated and referred to as the municipal court, by adopting by this reference all of those sections of the Laws of 1961 of the state of Washington pertaining to municipal courts for cities of the fourth class and codified as Chapter 3.50 Revised Code of Washington. (Ord. 507 § 1, 1984).

2.76.020 Municipal judge.

The municipal judge for the court shall be appointed by the mayor, with the approval of the city council, as provided by RCW 3.50.040, rather than elected as an alternative provision provided by said statute; and the mayor may appoint judges pro tem who shall act in the absence or disability of the regular judge of the municipal court. (Ord. 507 § 2, 1984).

2.76.030 Warrants—Execution.

As provided by the law adopted by reference in this chapter, the warrants for arrest issued by the court shall be directed to all peace officers in the state, and shall be executed only by a peace officer. (Ord. 507 § 3, 1984).

2.76.040 Additional provisions.

Those portions of Chapter 258, of the 1984 Session Laws of the Forty-Eighth Legislature of the state of Washington which amend the provisions of Chapter 3.50 of the Revised Code of Washington, and which pertain to the municipal court, in cities of the fourth class, are also adopted by this reference and made a part hereof as if set forth in full in this chapter. (Ord. 507 § 4, 1984).
