10.36.010 Time limit for obstruction of streets—Enforcement.

No engineer, fireman, conductor, brakeman, yardmaster, station agent, agent, division superintendent, or other officer, agent or employee of any railroad company having a track within the town, or any other person, shall cause or permit any train, engine, car or other obstruction to be or remain across any street or streets within the city or any part thereof, or cause the continuous operation of a crossing “stop” signal, for a longer consecutive period of time than five minutes; provided that if either Adams or Clark Street remains unobstructed the period shall be for not more than fifteen minutes.

It is the duty of the city marshal to enforce this section; and he is directed to cause any person or persons violating this section to be forthwith arrested and prosecuted, in accordance with law. (Ord. 300 §§ 1, 2, 1971).
