8.20.010 Speed limit.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to ride, drive, run, gallop, trot or speed a horse or horses, faster or at a greater rate of speed than seven miles an hour upon the streets of the city of Davenport, unless a permit shall first be obtained from the mayor. (Ord. 28 § 1, 1893).

8.20.020 On sidewalk or public square.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to ride or drive any horse or horses upon the sidewalks or public squares of the city of Davenport. (Ord. 28 § 2, 1893).

8.20.030 Dangerous.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to ride upon the streets of the city of Davenport any bucking or ugly horse or any horses which they have reason to believe will buck when ridden, or to ride any horse in such a manner that it will endanger the lives or property of others. (Ord. 28 § 3, 1893).

8.20.040 Hitching.

It is unlawful for any person to leave any horse or horses standing or hitched or tied in such a manner that they or the vehicle to which they are hitched or tied will stand upon any of the principal sidewalks or crosswalks of the city. (Ord. 28 § 4, 1893).
