ARTERIAL STREETS

10.12.010 Sixth Street – Seventh Street.

(a) Sixth Street from its intersection with Morgan Street south to Maxwell Street and Seventh Street from its intersection with Morgan Street south to the Northern Pacific railroad right-of-way in the city are designated and declared to be arterial streets as respects all other city streets.

(b) The operator of any vehicle entering upon the portions of Sixth and Seventh Streets designated as arterial streets shall come to a complete stop before entering such arterial streets, when stop signs are erected.

(c) The city shall cause to be posted and maintained proper signs of a standard design adopted for use in the state, indicating that the above streets have been determined and designated as arterial streets, and that vehicles entering the same are required to stop. It is unlawful for any person operating any vehicle when entering any intersection of that portion of Sixth and Seventh Streets as determined in this chapter and designated as arterial streets, and bearing the sign aforesaid, to fail and neglect to bring such vehicle to a complete stop before entering the intersection.
