NUMBERING HOUSES

12.08.010 Number to be in conspicuous place.
It is the duty of the owners and occupants of houses and places of business within the city to cause to be put up on conspicuous places thereon their numbers, as hereinafter provided, and it is the duty of the owner or agents of all such houses or places of business to maintain such numbers. (Ord. 162 § 1, 1912).
12.08.020 System of numbering – East and west.
All streets running east and west shall be numbered from the eastern boundary of the city west, commencing with number 1, and continuing with even numbers on the north side and odd numbers on the south side of the street. (Ord. 162 § 2, 1912).
12.08.030 North to south street numbers.
All streets running north and south shall be numbered from the northern boundary of the city south, commencing with number 1, and continuing with even numbers on the west side and odd numbers on the east side of the street. (Ord. 162 § 3, 1912).
12.08.040 Numbering issuing.
All numbers shall be determined by the city clerk-treasurer’s office to the owners and occupants of buildings in the city. The owners of buildings within the city shall provide their numbers to be placed in a conspicuous place so that the numbers can be seen. (Ord. 747 § 1, 1994; Ord. 162 § 4, 1912).
