12.28.010 Authorization.

The city authorizes and approves an agreement with Lincoln County, being the county in which it is located, to perform all or any part of the construction, repair and maintenance of streets, or the performance of other construction work in the city or on property of the city, at such cost as shall be mutually agreed upon by the city council and Lincoln County. (Ord. 416 § 1, 1972).

12.28.020 Work standards.

The agreement authorized by DMC 12.28.010 shall include a provision that Lincoln County shall perform all or a specified part of the construction, repair or maintenance of the city streets and bridges, or such other projects as may designated by the city to the same standards provided by the county in unincorporated areas, or to increase standards as shall be specified, which may include construction, repair or maintenance of drainage facilities, including storm sewers, sidewalks and curbings, street lighting and traffic control devices. (Ord. 416 § 2, 1972).

12.28.030 Engineering and administrative services by county.

The agreement authorized by DMC 12.28.010 shall include a provision that Lincoln County may provide engineering and administrative services necessary for the planning, establishment, construction and maintenance of the streets of the city or other projects designated by the city, including engineering and clerical services necessary for the establishment of local improvement districts. In providing such services, the county engineer may exercise all of the powers and perform all of the duties vested by law or by ordinance in the city engineer, or other officer or department charged with street administration or the administration of such other projects as may be designated by the city. (Ord. 416 § 3, 1972).

12.28.040 Administration.

The agreement between the city and Lincoln County may provide that the city shall enact such rules, regulations, resolutions and ordinances for the administration, establishment, construction, repair, maintenance, regulation and protection of its streets or other construction projects as may be necessary to authorize the county to lawfully carry out the terms of the agreement with the city.
